The device will even work well for those wanting to do a little spying and/or recording of phone conversations. (Due to it's size and an internal magnet, it can be attached to something metal and small enough to be inconspicuous.)Using the device is relatively simple as well: You charge the device and then slide the button to the "on" mode. That's (mostly) it! Charging the device is simple, as it uses a USB connection, meaning it's rechargeable/doesn't require batteries, which is another plus; and you can achieve a full charge in a couple of hours. For playback, you have the option of downloading the recorded wav files to a computer or you can also listen to them on the included headset. (You can also delete files using your computer and/or headset, too.) This recorder also has a "reset" button, which can be activated by using a paper clip.When you initially set up the device on a computer, you set the device to how you want to use it (more on that in a minute). You can also set a date and time stamp.Probably the that makes this device stand out is the option to set it to activate when it hears a sound, (cutting down on "dead air" space) or you can set it to record continuously. Either way, your recording will come out clear and the volume on the headphones can be adjusted to reflect how loud or soft the recording is.Not that many people would likely use this feature, since most of us likely have cellphones; but, the booklet also mentions the ability to use this device as an MP3 player. That might come in handy if you don't have/want to use your phone or as a much less expensive alternative, especially for little kids to use. (The metal case looks like it could take a bit of abuse.)Overall, this is a solid investment. It's small and portable (see pics), it comes with headphones, adapters, charging cable, and a carry case. (Basically everything that you need to be able to use the device...minus a computer if you choose to store your info that way.) It's also magnetic, so you can (covertly or otherwise) stick wherever there's metal. In addition to this being handy, the option to be able to utilize the device in "voice activated" mode is a game changer! Try it today!

The device records fine but it do not connect to computer or iPhone it’s says the device is not detectable. I will be returning device since I am not able to get records off.

I ordered the 132G (9800 Hour) Voice Activated Recorder to help me take notes and create minutes for my meetings. It promised quite a lot, so I was skeptical. But its free return emboldened me to take a chance. It promised a battery that lasts 120 hours and a recording capacity of 100 hours continuous and 5,000 hours total, all in a small, inconspicuous disc.I am very impressed with the quality of the sound it records of voices. It is easy to use to record a meeting and then to download the recording to a computer or listen on the device itself.I recorded a meeting, downloaded the resultant WAV file to my computer, and then submitted it to Otter.AI to transcribe and summarize. I used the summary to write my minutes.My usual complaint is that the instruction book is too small to read, not for the recorder. It also provides a video to watch.I most highly recommend it for recording meetings and lectures.

I used this Elasound voice recorder in my office and was pleasantly surprised. The voice activation feature works great and helps save storage by recording only when there’s sound. It’s compact, easy to carry, and the sound quality is completely clear. It was very helpful for recording meetings and reminders. It syncs easily with my phone, and the one-button operation makes it super convenient. The battery lasts well. A great tool for everyday work use.

This was bought brand new and I just now opened it up and try to connect it to my computer after charging it for 24 hours it does absolutely nothing. The company responded and provided me a refund. And they are sending me a new one. I recommend this company highly

The product is compact, sturdy, and has a magnetic back. Other than that, I cannot recommend. There is no “rewind” or “fast forward” button, contrary to one of the video reviews. I guess mine were returns as there was no QR either or any type of instruction book. Rufus was not helpful either.I am visually impaired and all o find myself is listening to dead air or background noises.Look elsewhere
